he ninth World Hindi Conference is going to be held in Johannesburg from the 22nd to 24th of this month. The Ministry of External Affairs with the support of Hindi Shiksha Sangh, South Africa, is organising the Conference. This information was given by the spokesman of MEA in New Delhi.
The ninth World Hindi Conference will deliberate on a series of traditional and contemporary themes related to both classical and modern aspects of Hindi. The theme of the conference this year will be, "Bhasha ki Asmita aur Hindi ka Vaishvik Sandarbh".
The first World Hindi Conference was held in 1975 in Nagpur. Since then, eight world conferences have been held in different countries. AIR Correspondent adds, this would be the first world Hindi conference to be organised in a country of African continent. |
