he Indian Railway is introducing new guidelines from tomorrow to overcome the menace of touts cornering the tatkal tickets meant for common passengers. The Railway today said that tatkal tickets would be exclusively issued in all computerised reservation counters and unreserved ticketing system counters between 10-10.30 am for trains of next day.

Eastern Railway spokesperson Samir Goswami said in Kolkatta that tatkal tickets cannot be booked on internet reservation system during the special time of 10-10.30 am for next day trains. During this exclusive period, no unauthorised agent including of IRCTC and RTAs will be allowed to book tatkal tickets.

A gang of racketeers involved in black marketing of Tatkal Tickets of railways has been busted by Special Task Force in Lucknow. Three persons - the alleged kingpin Salman Ahmad from Lucknow and Satiram Nishad and Subhash Tiwari from Basti of Uttar pradesh have been arrested. The arrests followed a cue from Mumbai CBI.

IG police B.P Singh said in Lucknow that the modus operandi of the culprits was by using a 'T' named software to capture the bandwidth of the IRCTC website, they made general public unable to book the Tatkal Tickets of railways. And then they booked all the Tatkal tickets.
