In Gujarat, first ever talking ATM-of the country has been made operative by Union Bank of India in Ahmedabad today.
Talking ATM- specially designed for visually impaired people has been installed at the campus of Blind People's Association-in Ahmedabad this morning.
Talking to media persons after the inauguration, Mr.D.Sarkar- Chairman and Managing Director of Union Bank of India has said that this is the part of social obligation of the public sector bank to reach out each and every person in the society under the Government of India's financial inclusion program.
He said that this specially designed talking ATM can be used independently by visually impaired or other physically challenged person.
AIR Correspondent reports that specially designed talking ATM is developed by NCR in cooperation with Union Bank of India, which has voice guidance solution system along with braille scripted labels. |
