Jharkhand government has decided to invite tender for the third time for procuring iodized salt to be supplied free to the BPL families of the state. The earlier two attempts to invite tenders on this have failed because of technical reasons.

AIR Ranchi Correspondent reports that the sate government has allotted nearly 28 and half crores rupees for supplying one kilogram of free iodized salt every month to all the 35 lakhs- BPL families of the state. The tender seeks a supply of about 3500 metric tones of iodized salt every month.
