Government has constituted a committee to review the functioning of Petroleum Service Company, PSCs in the country.
The committee headed by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory, Dr. C. Rangarajan, will review the existing PSCs, including in respect of the current profit-sharing mechanism with the Pre-Tax Investment Multiple and will also give recommendation for necessary modification for the future PSCs.
The committee constituted by the Petroleum Ministry will suggest a suitable mechanism for managing the contract implementation of the companies.
It will also review the structure and elements of the guidelines for determining the formula for the price of domestically produced gas and for monitoring actual price fixation. The committee will submit their report by the end of August this year.
Prime Minister should take the nation fully into confidence on the issue of alleged offering of bribe to the Chief of Army Staff. such revelation raises serious concern about national security and state of National Defence. He also sought explanation from the Defence Minister about action taken in this regard.
Party is maintaining the tradition of not commenting the issues related to Defence. However, he said that if there is any relevant input available with the concerned department appropriate action will be taken in this regard.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Monday launched an interactive website aimed to facilitate job prospects for 40,000 youths from Jammu and Kashmir in five years. It will be run by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and act as a platform to bring the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir in touch with corporates seeking talented workforce.
the youth of Jammu and Kashmir should be encouraged to take jobs in other states.He added that the success of this initiative lies in the hands of NSDC, corporates and the youth, he said.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said Monday’s event marks an important step in increasing more employment opportunities for the youth of the state. Eight corporate houses, signed an agreement with the NSDC in the presence of Chidambaram, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council Chairman C Rangarajan who headed the expert group to formulate a job plan in this regard.
