A Tuareg led rebel group in Northern Mali has announced the end of its military operations after saying it has captured all the territories it claims.
The group said it had declared a unilateral ceasefire from midnight on Thursday.
According to a report from the Mali capital, Bamako, the National Movement for the Liberation of the Azawad has announced they are calling an end to the military campaign. They have taken the territory they wanted. They had made rapid advances to three regional capitals of Kidal, Gao and Tombouctou.
