he Rajasthan Assembly today passed a resolution for the constitution of Vidhan Parishad in the state. Parliamentary Affair Minister Mr. Shanti Dhariwal brought this resolution and the main opposition BJP supported it. 3 CPIM and 1 Independent MLA opposed it.

156 out of 200 legislator were present in the house. The resolution stated that Vidhan Parishad is necessary to provide extensive representation to the people of the state and will establish Healthy and Strong democratic tradition in the state.
