Speaking on television, Mr. Santos said the man Daniel Barrera, known as madman Berrera was arrested in Venezuela with help from the local authorities as well as US and British intelligence. The capture of the madman Berrera was so important that the Colombian President felt the need to make an address to the nation. Mr. Santos described him as perhaps the most hunted drug lord of recent times. His criminal empire delivered cocaine not only to the United States but across the world, especially to Europe.
