During the meeting, the two ministers agreed to hasten the Preferential Trade Agreement negotiations.
They also agreed to deepen economic engagement between the two countries. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma said, the bilateral economic and commercial ties between the two sides have shown a healthy upward trajectory. He, however, said there is still a lot of untapped potential in diversifying commercial exchanges.
The minister said there is scope to further deepen the ties in sectors, including agro-processing, manufacturing, drugs and pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, automobile parts, tourism and hospitality.
