Syria on Wednesday expelled the Dutch Charge D'affairs and gave her 72 hours to depart the country.


The Syrian move came in retaliation to similar moves by several western countries.


On Tuesday, major European countries decided to expel Syrian diplomats in a coordinated move to increase pressure on Syria after the weekend mass killing in the country.


Their action came after over 100 people were reportedly killed in Syria's central village of Houla on Friday.
