The Rajya Sabha today passed the Chemical Weapons Convention (Amendment) Bill, 2010. Replying to a brief discussion on the bill, the Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizers Srikant Jena said. He said New Delhi is a signatory to the Convention on the prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and use of Chemical Weapons and their destruction. The amendment empowers the Centre to make rules on the issue
