Delhi traffic police will soon launch an SMS service through which people will able to know about the location of their vehicles which are towed away from a no-parking zone.
Informing this in New Delhi, Joint commissioner of traffic police, Satyendra Garg said this service will help owners who face the problem in locating their towed away vehicles every day. He said before the policemen tow a vehicle, it will be photographed with the camera attached with every e-challan gadget.
The policemen will send the vehicle's details along with photographs of the vehicle to the server. Mr. Garg said people have to send the text of vehicle's registration number through SMS to a mobile number which will be attached to the server. The requisite details will immediately be sent to the vehicle owner through the server.
