The number of students is increasing in Delhi Government schools on an average of one lakh students every year. The Directorate of Education of state has constructed around two thousands additional classrooms in the past three years to meet the growing demands of the students.

Informing this in New Delhi, Education Director, Amit Singla said government has appointed around five thousands guest teachers and over two thousands teachers on contract basis to ensure the student teacher ratio in the defined parameters.

He said that it has also been making efforts to upgrade the basic facility to commensurate with increasing enrolment in the school.
