The Nepalese government will launch a nationwide programme next month to check the spread of malaria in the country. Under the malaria control programme, the government will provide drugs to 500,000 people to kill mosquitoes in malaria prone districts of the country.
According to a study, around 20 million people in 65 districts are at risk of being afflicted with malaria. Among them, 31 districts were found affected with malaria while 13 districts along the Terai border were found to be prone to malaria.
