he President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil today released a commemorative stamp on former President of India R. Venkataraman as a part of his centenary celebrations.

On this occasion the Minister for Communications and Information Technology Mr. Kapil Sibal said that Venkataraman in his carrier as a politician, a parliamentarian and as the Head of the State always displayed fair-play and dignity, setting a high standards of public service. Mr. Sibal said that Venkataraman had the distinction of working with four prime ministers and appointing three of them .
