In Uttar Pradesh the central Bureau of Investigation CBI today detained senior IAS officer Pradeep Shukla in connection with alleged multi core scam in the Nation Rural Health Mission NRHM.

He was principle secretary of Health and family welfare department when the reported scam took place.

Quoting official sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that CBI detained him from Lucknow Airport when Mr. Shukla was in his way to New Delhi. He was brought for interrogation at CBI office at Lucknow.

The CBI has already filed three charge sheets separately against 14 persons .
