In Nepal, with the agreement signed Between Nepal Federation Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) and the government life in Kathmandu Valley has returned to normal today. Activists of NEFIN had imposed a three day nationwide shutdown which concluded yesterday.

The NEFIN called off bandh after the government and agitating ethnic groups signed a nine-point agreement that includes federating the country on the basis of ethnic identity last night.

However, in other parts of the country people are still to get a respite from bandhs. In the Eastern part of the country, Federal Limbuwan State Council has called a band affecting life in nine districts.

In Tarai region saw no respite today as well due to the continuous separate general strikes called by Broader Madhesi Front and Tharuhat Struggle Committee. In Far West parts of the region is affected by the Tharuhat bandh.
